How to Shape Your Wreath
A quick guide to restoring the shape of your wreath by Plan Bee Home, after shipping or storage.
After storage or shipping, your wreath may have flattened or look misshaped. You just need a little fluff!
The images below of one of my red heart wreaths will show you how to ‘shape’ and fluff yours out. It’s easier to do the first part on a flat surface but the rest can be done while it is lying flat or hanging on a wreath hanger. When you hang them you can attach the wreath to the hanger by one of the inner rows and just fluff the felt over the hanger (if it’s showing) to cover it up.
Step 2:
Gently pull all of the strips out straight around the edges. You will want to do this on the outer and center areas so it lays flat when you flip it back around. The back should now be flat (or close).
Step 3:
Time to turn around! Turn the wreath over so the front is face-up on a flat surface or hang it on a wreath hanger. I find the second option easier so I can step back & look but either works.
Step 4:
Gently ‘shape’ the wreath by moving each strip up and work them around the wreath until you reach your desired shape. You can also fluff out the felt by just running your fingers through the wreath to ‘fluff’ it out (think of your hand as a rake or when you fluff your hair out ).
Voila! Time to hang up & enjoy! Snap a pic & send it to me on Etsy, Instagram or Facebook or attach it to your review 🙂
