What size wreath should I get?

“What size wreath will work for my front door?” is one of the most common questions I get on Etsy.

This size guide is specific to wreaths sold by Plan Bee Home on Etsy. All Plan Bee Home wreath measurements are approximate & based on the first wreath made in that color.  All felt is cut the same size but some lots of felt may have a little more stretch than others.

 

A standard front door size is 36-inch wide.  The measurements below are the approximate number of inches you will have on each side of the wreath once you hang it up.  

Common Shapes

  • Round Midi – 10″
  • Round Maxi – 7″ (also applies to Boho)
  • Round XL: 3″
  • Square Midi – 7.5″ diagonal / 9.25″ square
  • Square Maxi – 4.5″ diagonal / 7″ square

Other

  • Egg – 8.5″
  • Shamrock – 7″
  • Candy Cane – 9″
  • Awareness Ribbon – 10″
  • Heart – 8″

The Round Maxi is the most common wreath I sell.  It is a great size for any front door, but it’s really up to you.  😊
